Our Team – Grazia Guida

Grazia Guida

Principal Lawyer

I was admitted to the legal profession in February 2018, following 10 years of working in family business. During this time I developed my skills in human resources, business management and leadership.  I have degrees in Law and Business and a Master of Laws – Employment Law.

I bring an energetic, detail-oriented approach to my practice. With an amiable style, I work closely with my clients to achieve the best outcomes.  My pragmatic and solution focused approach in business has led to the cultivation of strong relationships with both clients and colleagues and the proud establishment of my firm, Grazia Legal in 2022.

I am best described by my colleagues as being “born for a barney”.  While I am always up to the challenge, I pride myself on being a solution focused lawyer. Where there is a dispute to be had, I am passionate and determine to achieve the best result for my clients and realistic about what the best result means for them on all fronts.

My main areas of practice are education, employment and workplace relations, wills and estates, guardianship and administration and commercial litigation. Whatever the task at hand, my greatest passion is helping clients to resolve disputes in circumstances that are complex and emotionally taxing.

Education

In an ever-evolving educational landscape, legal challenges can arise that require expert guidance and representation. I offer comprehensive support in all areas of education law, including dealing with matters involving the Victorian Institute of teaching and disputes involving preschools, schools, colleges, and universities across Melbourne and greater Victoria.

Employment Law Experience

My experience in employment law extends across jurisdictions including the Fair Work Commission, the Fair Work Ombudsman, the Australian Human Rights Commission, the Federal Court of Australia and all State Courts, including the Victorian Supreme Court, Court of Appeal.

Outside of court work, I work interchangeably with employers and employees at a workplace level to mediate and resolve workplace disputes, negotiate exit strategies and provide advice on all aspects of employment and workforce management.

Litigation and Disputes

I have experience in Australian Consumer Law, contractual, corporate, debt recovery, employment, guardianship and administration, property and wills and estates.

Who is behind the professional?

Other than being a lawyer, my greatest loves are my family, my dog, cooking, and I prioritise health and wellness.  I enjoy mentoring, teaching and public speaking and take up sessional university tutoring wherever the opportunity arises.

I aim to break boundaries, cross uncharted waters and encourage those around me to remain integral in the face of adversity.
